How to use
- Paste a Unix timestamp or a date such as 2025-08-15 14:30.
- Seconds, milliseconds, microseconds and nanoseconds are detected automatically — or choose the unit.
- Pick a time zone to see the local date and offset there.
- The live clock shows the current Unix time; press Use to convert it.
How it works
Unix time counts seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC. Time-zone conversions use your browser’s built-in time-zone database, so daylight-saving changes and offsets such as India’s +05:30 or Nepal’s +05:45 are handled correctly. Dates typed without a time zone are read in your local zone.
Limitations
- Leap seconds are not counted, matching Unix time.
- Very old historical dates use the modern Gregorian calendar.
